A CSA is like getting a present every Friday. I don't know what will be in the bag so it is a surprise to see what yummy foods we will eat the next week. You can go home, open your surprise and plan your meals for the week--with help because there are delicious recipes also!
The garden with its rich soil, care and drip irrigation system and variety of root crops, lettuces and cole crops was the most beautifully engineered and tended I've ever seen.
Thanks again for another wonderful stay. The cabin is our favorite place to stay. The farm is so interesting with its healthy plantings, the fowl, the cats and the occasional deer or two.
When I sit on the porch of this retreat, I am 12 again…
We figured out what to do with foods (from our CSA) we wouldn’t have purchased and learned to love them. New recipes gave us a fresh look at dinner. Every Wednesday we can count on having a full refrigerator of fresh healthy produce for the week. I can’t wait for this year’s bounty to arrive.
Your retreat was all and more than I envisioned, from the Farmer's Market where we got our dinner of salmon chowder and salad makings, to the hedge of fragrant roses, to the show off turkey…
