Come to Rog's Retreat on Puget Island to treat yourself to luxury! Or give a night or two as a gift to someone you love. Rog's Retreat guest cottage sits serenely among our flower and vegetable gardens. The retreat sleeps up to four (two on the queen bed in the bedroom, two on the futon in the sitting room). It is equipped with an under counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hot plate and electric tea kettle. An outdoor barbecue and fire pit enhance the experience!
We provide guests with a small basket filled with snacks, fruit, coffee and tea. There's also popcorn to pop and s/more makings at the ready.
Rog's Retreat is ideal for a birding, biking, kayaking or fishing trip or use as overflow lodging for your guests. Fish locally for salmon, steelhead and sturgeon (we will provide you with up to the minute fishing reports). Our island and surrounding waterways provide many miles of protected kayak paddling and 30 flat miles for bicycling plus world class birding! While you're here you can stroll around the farm, check out the vegetable gardens, gather eggs and admire our garden, whatever suits your frame of mind! Roast marshmallows over the campfire, launch your kayak from our property, bird watch from the porch or take a bicycle ride around the island. The possibilities are many and varied!
Our guest cottage is a non-smoking building with wifi but no TV reception (VCR and DVD provided). Reading and game playing are encouraged. Children are welcome as long as they remain in parental control. They will love to swing on the swing set, play horseshoes, or watch the chickens, ducks and geese. They can also help gather eggs with the farmer! Dogs are welcome guests too, as long as they are under owner control.
If you are spending one night or a week, you are certain to love this cozy home away from home.
